Introduction to Actions

Actions (also known as steps or tags) encapsulate common things that a user may need to automate in Windows. Actions are the most important part of AutoMate. They represent the "work" that the task actually performs after it is triggered.

To build a task - the user starts by using the Task Builder to drag actions from left to right, from the "available actions" list into the "current steps" list. Available actions range from starting applications, Sending Keystrokes, Clicking controls, uploading files and much more. A complete list of categorized Available Actions follows.
